Grandpa's house is close to the big river and is surrounded by paddy fields that cannot be seen at a glance.

I had a dream of grass weaving. I can smell the faint sweat of my grandfather's straw hat, the fragrance of rice for ten miles, the smell of fish in the river, the fragrance of grass and soil, and the smell of fresh firewood in the distant cooking smoke.

For a long time, I woke up. It was grandpa.

I rubbed my sleepy eyes.

Willow shadows flickered on his face. He smiled and said nothing. Suddenly, he magically took out a half-big watermelon from behind and put it into the cool gurgling brook.
