This plant, which is like weeds all over the mountain, is delicious when its tender leaves are not stretched out and curled up like small fists. Therefore, it is also called fist cabbage, cat's claw and dragon head cabbage. It is the representative of traditional wild vegetables and has the laudatory name of "king of mountain vegetables " .

After work, I made an appointment with my companions, dressed in long-sleeved sportswear, brought the sickle and basket necessary for digging wild vegetables, and the line of people slowly moved towards the mountains. It is a pleasure and a hard thing to pick ferns up the mountain. "Pull out the clouds to find ferns to the peak, there is a road in the thorn forest " ! The mountain road is rugged and full of thorns. A group of people just scrambled to advance to their respective goals and disappeared in the forest ...

I carried a basket and held a sickle in my hand, opening a path for myself in the jungle and running towards the dead fern leaves in front of me. When I was about to arrive at my destination, my feet slipped and my hands grasped. I just held it on a small tree full of spines, and it was in pain! But when I saw the green bracken waving in the thatch, all the hardships and pains disappeared instantly, and there was only joy. Carefully, one by one, with thatch tied into a handle into the back basket.

Hands keep picking and eyes keep turning for fear of missing one. The long-leaved, just-spiked, fat and thin ones were all clutched in their hands, not letting go of any of them. The harder it is to drill, the more surprises there are! Occasionally, I will encounter one or two spring buds and pick a handful. Sometimes drilling into more humid places, but also accidentally found some unknown wild flowers. Take off one and insert it into your head. It's so beautiful that you forget yourself!

A group of adults, like a group of children at the moment. Shuttle in the woods, twittering, the sound echoed in the mountains. In the evening, everyone returned without an appointment. They took down their baskets one after another, comparing quantity, quality and variety, as if they were commenting on trophies. Satisfied, the crowd rushed home along the mountain road.

Burn a pot of boiling water, blanch a large pot of fresh bracken, and scoop it up immediately. Take out a small handle, tear it in half, soak in cold water and salt for half an hour, remove and cut into sections. Onions, ginger and minced garlic are essential. Add a spoonful of homemade chopped pepper and stir-fry with smoked bacon. There will be a delicious dish on the table at night! Put all the remaining bracken into the prepared earthen altar, pour cold boiled water, edible salt and white vinegar, add water to the mouth of the altar, and find a clean and safe place to store. Half a month later, it will be another flavor of spring!

At this time of the season, in the streets of the small town, some industrious grandparents are selling ferns. A handle neatly, watery and tender, cheap and readily available. However, more and more people choose to go over the mountains and mountains to pick ferns, not only for the delicious wild vegetables on the vegetable table, but also for the unique fun in the process of picking ferns!
