In view of the current situation that the emission of CO2 in the production process is difficult to be utilized, the bulk waste residue is difficult to be eliminated, and the added value of traditional utilization methods is low, Daye Jianfeng Cement Company actively carries out school-enterprise cooperation and cooperates with Southeast University to explore new carbon capture, storage and utilization technologies to promote the resource utilization of CO2 and industrial waste residue.
This project is jointly carried out by Daye Peak and Professor Qian Chunxiang's team from Southeast University. The aim is to fix CO2 in kiln tail flue gas by using microorganisms to cooperate with industrial waste residue, and to prepare high-quality new auxiliary cementitious materials in batches to realize efficient utilization of CO2 at normal temperature and pressure. As the first demonstration application project in China to prepare carbon-fixing auxiliary gelding materials using cement kiln tail flue gas CO2 , the research and development results can provide a new way for carbon capture and utilization in the cement industry, which is original. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the experimental project, daye peak and Southeast University team have completed the whole process design, equipment construction and installation of cement kiln tail flue gas capture, maintenance and monitoring. 10 January 28 , with the first batch of steel slag powder into the experimental device, marking the official start of the experimental project. It is reported that the experimental project to complete four batches of microbial carbon fixation experiments, the follow-up will also carry out auxiliary cementitious material product preparation, concrete application experiments and other projects.
At present, the experimental project is progressing smoothly and the carbon fixation effect is obvious. The activity index of auxiliary cementitious material 28 prepared by this technology is greater than 85% , and its performance is better than the first-class technical index of GB/T 20491 "Steel Slag Powder for Cement and Concrete. Daye Peak Declared 4 Invention Patents Last Year
In 2019, Daye Jianfeng Cement Company changed its thinking, actively explored and tested the use of new materials, and summarized the research results in a timely manner, and successively declared 4 invention patents. In the production process of low-alkali cement, Daye Peak changed the traditional scheme of using high-grade sandstone ingredients alone to replace part of the sandstone and part of the iron correction material with iron ore waste soil, which not only controlled the alkali content in the clinker, but also increased the Al2O3 content in the clinker, ensuring the easy burnability and high early strength of the clinker. Innovation has also been made in the raw material batching scheme, breaking the original high-grade and low-grade sandstones used together and changing them to separate batching of high-grade and low-grade sandstones respectively, thus avoiding the disadvantage of easy material segregation in the process of high-grade and low-grade sandstones used together. At the same time, the original four-component batching is changed to five-component batching, so that low-alkali clinker can be freely switched, which is convenient for production organization and production cost. On the basis of a series of innovative achievements, Daye Peak declared four invention patents in 2019: "a technology for producing clinker from gas sludge and dust collection in steel mills", "a method for treating sludge in machine-made sand mills", "an improvement in raw material batching method" and "a technology for producing low cement from iron ore mining waste soil", all of which have high practical value.
