1995 11# March, together with some other domestic counterparts, was invited to work in Milan, Italy for a month. The local partners are enthusiastic, and the colleagues who work together often show curiosity and a sense of mystery that seems to be taken for granted. Before going abroad, we brought them some small gifts, such as silk scarves and small fans. Colleagues over there sometimes have dinner with us, very casually, that is, dragging two chairs together in the office, a bottle of red wine and a cake.

After a long time, there will be contacts outside of work. Two local colleagues have a good relationship with me and invited me to eat their pizza and pasta. We often talk about football, Berzot ① and Baggio ② .

One weekend I went to Venice from Milan with my colleagues. In the box of the train, there was a 60-year-old gentleman with silver hair and formal clothes. He was holding a pipe in his hand and staring at us all the time. Finally, he could not bear to say, Skilaci in Japan to play football. Skillaci was the hero of the Italy World Cup in 1990 and the top scorer. He usually performed well in Serie A, but scored 6 goals in that competition, helping Italy win the World Cup. This old fan went to Venice from an island called Cagliari in southwestern Italy to watch the game. Venice is the most northeast place in Italy. It's really commendable to watch the game by train and watch the second division of the two teams. It's just that this gentleman regarded us as Japanese, because there were fewer Chinese going to Italy at that time, and the Japanese looked too much like us.

Later, their leader (let's call it that) heard that I like Italian football and specially arranged for us Chinese to watch a football match. It was an Italian cup match between Inter Milan and Atalanta. I remember the result was Inter Milan 1 : 0 . The goal was scored by Gunz.

It was the first time I watched the game on the spot abroad, and it was also the kind of team that was famous at home. Their venue is not surrounded by the 400 m runway of the domestic stadium "standard " , so the audience is very close to the players, so they can see their dazzling technical movements. Moreover, due to the close distance, the player's speed looks very fast and his feet are full of strength. He can even hear the impact of "bang " when he kicks the ball. That kind of feeling is not like what we watch on TV, nor is it like the scene of our super league. Therefore, there is still a big gap between Chinese football and the advanced level of Europe and South America.

Those Italian friends at that time, more people like Inter Milan, gave me badges, flags, scarves, postcards, are Inter.

Before that, I only liked AC Milan, because when I was at home, AC Milan's Dutch "Three Musketeers " ③ gave me a special impression. When I really arrived in Italy, I found that more people like Inter in Milan, and the two Milan teams have their own fans. They even have different names at home. Inter Milan is called Meazza, AC Milan is called San Siro, which is actually a stadium.

Italian friends took me to the stadium by bus. They all have their own bus cards, similar to our monthly ticket, but I don't. I didn't know how to buy tickets when I wanted to buy them. They didn't say anything when I asked them, so I got on and off with them. A man who didn't even copy his homework escaped a ticket under the coercion of foreigners.
