Dai girls are recognized as watery, but when they are old, their faces seem to have more wrinkles than ordinary people, and the flesh on their faces hangs more severely. We all joke that they are tender when they are young and lack water when they are old.
Although the Dai people are free to marry now, there are still divorces. About ten years ago, the Dai people here could only marry the Dai people. The two Dai villages near our village add up to hundreds of families, and there is no divorced couple. Especially every year during the rice and corn harvest season, they will take the initiative to help each other. They know who will harvest rice today and drive their tractors. The host family cannot prepare meals early because they do not know how many people will come in total. The Dai people here are a group of people who have the most fertile farmland. At that time, they liked to live by the water, the fields were close to the water source, and the houses were built by the river.
