When they get married, they start wearing heavier silver earrings until they get old. Therefore, many old people have their earlobes falling very long. Dai girls are recognized as watery, but when they are old, their faces seem to have more wrinkles than ordinary people, and the flesh on their faces hangs more severely. We all joke that they are tender when they are young and lack water when they are old.
Although the Dai people are free to marry now, there are still divorces. About ten years ago, the Dai people here could only marry the Dai people.
