Forbidden City is located in the center of Beijing. It is the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was built in the fourth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1406 ) and in the 18th year of Yongle (AD 1420 ). It was formerly known as "Forbidden City " and has a history of nearly 600 years. Since its establishment, 24 emperors have ruled the country for nearly 500 years. A central axis runs through the entire Forbidden City and the old Beijing city. The three halls, the three back palaces and the imperial garden, which are well known to us for the Qing palace opera, are all located on this central axis.
The Forbidden City is a typical traditional Chinese civil construction, design, construction is very exquisite. There are two stone platforms on both sides of the terrace in front of the Ganqing Palace. There is a gilt bronze pavilion on each stone platform.
