WASHINGTON Aiming at the risk of misoperation during the current on-site electrical equipment maintenance, Daye Peak Cement Company combines the safety isolation measures for on-site equipment maintenance of other cement enterprises, during the Spring Festival overhaul in 2020 , most of the electrical equipment on site was installed with VCS visual isolating switch nearby. Currently, about 90 sets have been installed.
The VCS isolating switch installed this time, Daye Peak selects the ABB OT series original imported isolating switch, which has two complete disconnection indication functions, making the opening and closing state of the switch contact clear at a glance; Equipped with safety interlocking device, it is closely matched with the mechanical interlocking structure of VCS box door through the switch operating handle, so that VCS cannot open the box door when the switch is in the closing state, the box door can only be opened when the switch is in the opening state, and the box door cannot be closed when the box door is in the opening state, and the switch can only be closed when the box door is in the closing state; The operation handle is provided with three padlock devices to prevent potential safety hazards caused by non-staff misoperation. When the field equipment is during overhaul and maintenance, mechanics, electricians and other types of work can hang corresponding padlocks on the operating handle of VCS respectively, so that the VCS can operate only after all three people release the padlocks, thus ensuring the personal safety of on-site equipment and maintenance personnel to the greatest extent.
In order to let employees better understand the use of VCS isolating switch, Daye Peak Environmental Safety Department drafted the safety operation procedures of VCS isolating switch, and conducted on-site operation training to ensure the correct operation of isolating switch by maintenance personnel and the absolute safety of electrical equipment during maintenance.
