The moment I got the book, I was suddenly attracted by the paragraph on the cover: "We always like to give ourselves many reasons to explain our cowardice, always deceiving ourselves to believe those beautiful lies, always to hide our inner fears, always to escape the crimes we have committed. But the truth is always that one day, we will have to face those sins calmly and redeem our hearts." This book tells such a story that makes me think firsthand.

The article is about two little boys in Afghanistan, the rich young master Amir and hare-lip servant Hassan, who grew up together. In a kite-chasing competition, Amir won the final victory, but he thought that chasing back the fallen kite was the real win. Although Amir could not save Hassan's death, Hassan's son was still living in dire straits. Amir finally defeated himself, bravely rescued Hassan's children and saved himself.

The book describes not only family and friendship, but also the sadness and pain of losing a loved one, the fear and helplessness in the face of crisis, and the selfish prevarication when one should take responsibility ...... These heartfelt emotions are the truest manifestation of a person facing changes in things.

Kite is the clue of this book, and its profound meaning runs through the whole text. The kite flies in the vast sky with beauty and yearning. What we can do is to chase it with the most perfect posture. For Amir and his father, what they are pursuing is nothing more than a kite in their hearts, in order to achieve perfection in their hearts.
