Add a frequency converter to save more than 20% of electricity

Some time ago, cable company Hua Yongming carried out technological transformation on the air compressor in the production workshop and installed a frequency converter for the air compressor, thus greatly saving electricity consumption. The air compressor used by

cable company does not have a frequency conversion energy-saving control system. in normal production operation, no matter whether the production is busy or not, as long as there is equipment in operation, the air compressor must be turned on, thus consuming a lot of electricity. So Hua Yongming wondered if he could install a frequency converter for the air compressor and automatically adjust it according to the amount of air consumption. With this idea, Hua Yongming began to take action. He first collected the relevant information of the inverter and understood the energy-saving principle of the inverter control system. The frequency converter can adjust the load of the motor according to the amount of gas required, so that the air compressor outputs a constant pressure, and the motor will not run without load, thus achieving the purpose of saving electricity.

In order to more intuitively understand and compare the power consumption before and after the renovation, Hua Yongming asked electrician Guo Zhijian to install an electricity meter on the air compressor before the renovation. After nearly two months of monitoring, the no-load rate of the air compressor reached more than 30% , with an average power consumption of 23.4 kW hours per hour. Monitoring after the renovation showed that the power saving rate reached 24% , higher than the predicted 20% . According to this calculation, the total cost of 6300 yuan invested can be recovered in more than two months. The box for the

inverter needs to be purchased separately, which costs more than 1,000 yuan. In order to save the installation cost, Hua Yongming only bought the inverter, while the box was modified by using the switch box of the old equipment, with a heat dissipation net cover and a dust cover.
