Chen Wangdao is a famous thinker, social activist, educator, linguist and one of the founders of the Communist Party of China. He was born in Fenshuitang Village in 1891 , came into contact with Marxism after studying in Japan in 1915 , returned to China after the outbreak of the May 4th Movement, taught in Hangzhou Zhejiang No.1 Normal School, actively participated in the May 4th New Culture Movement with progressive teachers and students, opposed old morality and literature, advocated new morality and new literature, and was soon persecuted. In order to spread the truth, he returned to his hometown at the end of 1919 and began to translate the Communist Manifesto co-authored by Marx and Engels. 1920 8# In September, the Chinese translation of the Communist Manifesto was officially published by the Shanghai Socialist Research Association as the first full Chinese translation of the socialist research series, which had a huge impact on the spread of Marxism at that time. It became the most widely circulated and influential Marxist classic in China, and influenced the entire generation of revolutionaries in China at that time. Lu Xun once spoke highly of Chen Wangdao's translation of the Communist Manifesto as "a great good thing for China"; Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other revolutionary pioneers were deeply influenced by this book in the process of growing up. In 1920 , Chen Wangdao and Chen Duxiu organized a Marxist Research Association in Shanghai to participate in the editing of New Youth magazine and the preparation of the Socialist Youth League. As one of the earliest five members of the Communist Party of China, Chen Wangdao played an important role in promoting the convening of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the formal establishment of the Communist Party of China.

Fen Pond is a remote mountain village near the junction of Yiwu and Pujiang. At the corner of Chen Wangdao's former residence, a bright red party flag sculpture stands, and the base is engraved with the oath of joining the party, attracting the attention of party members. The party members carefully watched the photo exhibition of Chen Wangdao's life and relived his touching deeds of maintaining a firm belief, fighting unremittingly against the reactionary forces in the harsh environment of old China, and overcoming difficulties after the founding of New China.
