Yunnan is the province with the largest stock of wild Asian elephants in the country, especially Pu'er City, Lincang City and Xishuangbanna Prefecture. There is an "elephant canteen" near our Yunnan Jianfeng Cement Company, which is the food source base for wild Asian elephants. From July to March of the following year, wild elephants often patronize the corn, sugar cane and banana fields here. In the eyes of the locals, encountering wild elephants is a common thing. In the circle of friends of my colleagues, I have seen many videos or photos of them encountering wild elephants. I am always very excited because I know that wild elephants are by my side. But after working in Pu'er for more than five years, I have never seen it with my own eyes, and I always feel sorry.

Maybe God heard my heart. On my way to work in the city, I met a wild elephant without any preparation.

The moment I saw it, I had a strong feeling that it should be an elephant with a story. Because it only has a half ivory, ears are incomplete. As we all know, elephants are social animals, and this one may be excluded from the ethnic group or lost his way because he could not keep up with the large army. It casually strolled in the corn field not far from the road, swinging its long nose to look for corn, found it, its nose rolled up, pulled and hooked, and the corn was sent to its mouth, and then it chewed while stretching its nose to the next target.

The cornfield is too close to the road. The appearance of wild elephants attracted many passersby including me. However, this wild elephant simply ignores these "audiences" who hold up their mobile phones and aim at it. It is looking for food on its own. It glances at the road from time to time, fanning its air-leaking ears and swinging its short, thick tail. It seems that it is born with a sense of lens and full of aura. Looking at this posture, it has obviously become accustomed to this distant hustle and bustle scene. Not only does it not mean to be disturbed at all, but it enjoys the feeling of being noticed and enjoys its delicious food leisurely.

Looking at the elephant close at hand, my heart boiled. Although I have seen elephants many times in the zoo, the first time I met a wild elephant, the feeling was completely different. I excitedly took out my cell phone and took many beautiful photos of wild elephants to share this special joy with my friends.

In Pu'er, Yunnan, harmonious coexistence between humans and wild elephants is the norm, which also benefits from the good policies of government departments. Although sometimes wild elephants will destroy crops or cause damage to rural houses, the government has a special fund to compensate for this special situation, so the masses have great tolerance for wild elephants.

Jinxi plant environmental protection facilities through the completion of acceptance

On November 1, Jianfeng Pharmaceutical Jinxi Pharmaceutical Factory successfully obtained the approval from Zhejiang Environmental Protection Department that the environmental protection facilities of the project passed the completion acceptance, and a key work of Jianfeng Pharmaceutical in 2016 came to an end. Jianfeng Pharmaceutical's annual output of 35 tons of cephalosporins, anti-tumor drugs and other raw material production lines and various preparation production lines technological transformation projects started construction in Jinxi Development Zone in October 2012 and were almost completed in September 2015. The construction of the project strictly abided by the "three simultaneous" system of environmental protection, conscientiously implemented the requirements in the environmental impact assessment report and its approval documents, and invested 19.34 million yuan in environmental protection facilities. The plant has basically realized the separation of clean and sewage. A new wastewater treatment system with a daily treatment capacity of 700 cubic meters and a "physical, chemical and biochemical" treatment process has been built, and an online monitoring device networked with the environmental protection department has been installed. All kinds of production wastewater, public works wastewater and domestic sewage are treated by the wastewater station and sent to Jinxi Sewage Treatment Plant for centralized treatment; there is an RTO regenerative incineration device of 10000 cubic meters per hour and a centralized treatment device of 4000 cubic meters per hour for chlorine-containing organic waste gas. All kinds of waste gas are discharged after collection and treatment. In October 2015, with the approval of Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone Branch of Jinhua Environmental Protection Bureau, the trial production of Jinxi project was carried out. After more than half a year of operation, in early July 2016, Zhejiang Environmental Monitoring Center Station carried out completion acceptance monitoring of environmental protection treatment facilities such as waste water and waste gas of Jinxi Pharmaceutical Factory, and issued a completion acceptance monitoring report of environmental protection facilities at the end of August.
