Only then did I really realize that fire safety is a very complicated and in-depth work. In the architectural design, the fire prevention distance from adjacent workshops and warehouses, the net width of the fire escape route and the distance to the safety exit, the stability and integrity of the fire prevention components inside the workshop, the number and model of fire extinguishers should be set, and the effective area of fire extinguishers should be calculated, etc., all of which need to be understood. At that time, I was like a sponge into the ocean of knowledge, absorbing and improving all the time. However, understanding and application are two different things. Once during training, the staff asked what substance was in the dry powder fire extinguisher, and I answered casually that it should be sodium bicarbonate. After the inquiry, it was found that the dry powder fire extinguishers mainly include ammonium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, potassium bicarbonate, potassium carbonate and so on. I was glad that I was not wrong. At the same time, I was more aware of the difficulty and depth of fire fighting work.
Our company belongs to the key fire fighting chemical unit, so the safety committee has set up a voluntary fire brigade, an emergency rescue team and a security team. I am responsible for the daily training and practical operation of these three teams. Every month, the members of these three teams have to conduct training examinations, emergency plan drills, and practical competitions to continuously improve team building and improve the skill level of the team members. In this process, I feel the importance of enterprise managers to safety work, but also feel the importance of their work. In the future, chemical production will move closer to automation, so automation operators must improve their knowledge and ability to not be eliminated in the ever-changing competitive environment.
Safety work must be inseparable from all-time inspection. What will be inspected in the tank farm of major hazard sources? On-site fire fighting inspection is to check the daily maintenance of the foam generating device, pipeline valve status, foam foaming multiple, foam validity period, fire fighting water pressure, etc. Its strong backing is the fire fighting pipe network system. Whether the outlet pressure can reach 0.7-1.2Mpa, whether the outlet pressure at the most unfavorable point is greater than 0.07Mpa, how to manually or automatically turn on the fire pump when a fire occurs, and whether the pressure stabilizing pump is stably pressurized? Foreign experts in the inspection of the enterprise fire will be random questions, at the beginning, I often can not answer. After the failure, I went to check and ask myself, 1.1 to understand the relevant knowledge, and then I could calmly deal with all kinds of fire-related contents.
After going through various inspections, large and small, I have made considerable changes when I joined the company. I have a deeper understanding of the internal situation of the company, and I am no longer nervous to meet the inspection.
