In my hometown, every day before the Dragon Boat Festival, every family starts to make zongzi after busy. Now that the living conditions are better, the taste of zongzi is more varied than before, including crab meat, egg yolk and pork. I grew up loving to eat the gray dumplings wrapped by my mother. Every year at the end of the Dragon Boat Festival, my mother picks the reed leaves early. I help clean them up and prepare the soaked glutinous rice and, of course, the most important glutinous rice grass ash. Only by mixing it in the glutinous rice can the cooked zongzi have a special fragrance.
Dragon Boat Festival this day, in addition to eating zongzi, the most important program is to watch the dragon boat. The place of the dragon boat race in my hometown is at the Laoliba Bridge section of the old state of Wuyang River. Before the dragon boat came out, there were already a sea of people on both sides of the river. Nearby villages and towns and cultural departments will also organize Miao and Gejia sisters to show the production process of Miao embroidery and Gejia batik, as well as folk performances such as bench dance, lusheng, and welcoming relatives, combining local folk culture, traditional skills and festival customs, Let everyone feel the charm of traditional culture.
