During the recruitment in the autumn of 1992 , I, who had not planned to be a soldier, was pulled into the recruitment office by my fellow villagers. In this way, I was enlisted in the army, but my partner failed.

The first day I entered the army, I regretted it because of the high-intensity physical training that made me vomit all over the floor. I felt like I couldn't take it anymore and I wanted to go home. But with the care and encouragement of my comrades-in-arms and the squad leader, I persevered and eventually became an excellent PLA soldier.
