Daye Peak Grate Cooler was originally designed to match the production capacity of tons of cement clinker per day. Due to the heavy production tasks in recent years, some parts of the Grate Cooler were damaged due to overload work, which had to be shut down urgently. For this reason, during the overhaul of Daye Peak, the movable frame, inner support wheel support beam, support wheel support, clamping device, support pipe beam and other important components of each section of the grate cooler were unified and strengthened to meet the new operation requirements of the production line.
According to introduction, if the downtime of the kiln system caused by the grate cooler failure is reduced by 75 hours, it is equivalent to recovering the cost of this renovation. Two months after the end of the transformation, the grate cooler has been running smoothly and reliably. After inspection and confirmation during shutdown of 4 months, all components are in normal operation. After the failure rate of grate cooler is reduced, it will not only greatly reduce the workload of employees, but also reduce the labor and material costs when overhauling the grate cooler, and will also play a positive role in promoting the implementation of the "large inspection system.
Daye peak high temperature fan since the establishment of the factory is a conventional centrifugal fan, is the use of high-frequency chopper speed control. With the increase of kiln output, the fan shows some disadvantages. It cannot adjust the speed according to the requirements of the process. The maximum speed can only be controlled at about 850 revolutions per minute. The air volume can only be pulled at full speed by the tail row, resulting in the loss of the tail row's own energy. For this reason, Daye Peak decided to carry out high-efficiency and energy-saving technological transformation of high-temperature fans. According to the plan, the energy-saving transformation of the kiln tail high-temperature fan will be divided into two steps, which will be implemented during the overhaul and medium repair respectively. The first step is to replace the original conventional fan with a high-efficiency and energy-saving centrifugal fan, and the second step is to change the motor control from the original high-frequency chopper control to high-voltage variable frequency speed control.
During the Spring Festival overhaul, the energy-saving transformation of the high-temperature fan successfully completed the first step. Compared with the data of the same period in 2016 , although the power consumption of the high-temperature fan itself has not changed significantly, the power consumption of the tail exhaust fan per ton of clinker is reduced by about 1.3 kW hours, which can save more than ,150 yuan per year, and the renovation cost can be recovered in less than one year. If the second step of transformation is continued during the medium repair period, the energy consumption of the tail exhaust will be further reduced, and the energy consumption of the high-temperature fan itself will also decrease. It is expected that the technical transformation cost will be recovered in two to three years.
